On the 15th May 2024, the Donnybrook Balingup Chamber of Commerce hosted a highly successful Grant Writing Workshop in collaboration with IPS Business Advisory. The event saw a full house with 12 enthusiastic participants eager to learn about the intricacies and benefits of grant writing for their businesses.

The workshop was presented by Allan McGillivray who provided invaluable insights into the grant application process. Attendees were guided through the key components of crafting a compelling grant proposal, including how to align their business goals with grant objectives, the importance of clarity and precision in writing, and strategies to make their applications stand out.

One of the most significant takeaways from the workshop was the concept of using the grant application process as an opportunity for businesses to review and realign their purpose and practices. By critically evaluating their operations and objectives, businesses can not only improve their chances of securing funding but also ensure they are on a path that maximizes impact and sustainability.

Participants left the workshop equipped with practical tools and renewed confidence to pursue grant opportunities. The interactive nature of the session allowed for personalised advice and networking, further enriching the learning experience.

We extend our thanks to IPS Business Advisory for their expertise and support in making this event a resounding success. Their dedication to empowering local businesses is greatly appreciated.
