The Donnybrook Balingup Chamber of Commerce recently attended the Shire of Donnybrook Balingup Community Expo, an event that brought together community members from the area to showcase their products and services. The expo was held at Ayres Gardesn and the weather turned on some beautiful Autumn sunshine, and it was an excellent opportunity for the Chamber of Commerce to connect with local residents and other businesses in the area.

The Chamber of Commerce is a not-for-profit organisation that represents the interests of local businesses in the Donnybrook Balingup area. The organisation works to promote economic growth and development in the region, and provides a range of services to its members and greater community, including networking events, marketing opportunities, and advocacy support.

The Shire of Donnybrook Balingup Community Expo was held to coincide with Volunteer Week and recognise the important role volunteering and community groups play in the area from volunteer fire brigades, art groups and the regular Donnybrook Station markets. Our committee is a small group of volunteers and we regularly co-ordinate with other community groups like the Donnybrook Visitor Centre, Balingup Visitor Centre and the Donnybrook Community Resource Centre to bring events and workshops to the region.

The morning has co-hosted by the Donnybrook Community Resource Centre with volunteer presentations to those attending by the Commissioner, Gail McGowan alongside the monthly Donnybrook Station Markets and entertainment.

The Shire of Donnybrook Balingup is looking to hold the event again on the 18th May 2024 to celebrate, recognise and thank our volunteers for the tremendous work they do in our community. Well done to all of the organisers and thank you for giving the Chamber of Commerce the chance to be seen and talk with the community about what we do and how we do it.
